James G. Mundie (featured in last post) has sketched and photographed at the Mütter Museum, which has a "Kentucky Giant" (7' 6") to rival the Hunterian Museum's "Irish Giant" (7' 7"). But Robert Pershing Wadlow (1918-1940), the "Alton Giant," was - and still is - the medically-documented tallest man to ever live at 8' 11". Below is a sampling of other record-breakers:
