Back to the blog!

My sister and brother-in-law sent me an iPad, and I downloaded the necessary app called Blogsy to get me back online. But it wasn't until my occupational therapist Lydia devised this great contraption that I was able to use the iPad with any success. My arm doesn't like to hover over the screen, but this sling keeps it up and with the help of a stylus (which my friends Sue and Kèn set me up with) I'm back in business. I can't promise I'll be as regular as I was, at least at first, and certainly not as wordy, but I think I will do you and me both proud. Thanks to everyone for the encouragement and kind words. Today I wanted to show you how I'm doing it, but tomorrow back to the weird news!

  1. Yay! So glad you're back...reading your blog for a couple of years now, and I've been wondering how you're doing and if you were going to grace us with your awesome and informative posts. Yay Yay Yay! (Um...more glad that you're okay, not necessarily that you're still able to entertain me. Just wanted to clarify.)

  2. Oh gosh, I had no idea that your arm was hurt? I hope you get well soon! And looking forward to more posts, but take your time to get well. Best.

  3. I am so happy to see you back! I have been one of your readers for a few years now, and even though we've never spoken, I was worried.

Did you happen to hear the big news about the giant squid while you were recovering? Last summer, a huge expedition funded by the Discovery Channel managed to capture 20 minutes of high-resolution footage of a giant squid in its natural habitat. An unbelievable moment for marine biology. You must see the footage: It's so clear that it doesn't even look real. The special aired a couple of weeks ago; let me know if you need help tracking it down.
