Birdie

This Monday of this week at about 4 p.m., course marshall Bryan Stizer of San Juan Hills Golf Club found a live 2'-long leopard shark (pictured above in the back of his cart) thrashing about on the 12th tee box. The golf course is located in San Juan Capistrano, California, 4mi from the Pacific Ocean. After it was assumed that it  was picked out of the water by a predatory bird and dropped, the shark was transported to Dana Point and successfully released back into the ocean. “Honestly, this is the weirdest thing that’s happened here,” said Director of Club Operations Melissa McCormack.
