Betty White

At 88 years old, Betty White has never stopped being funny and engaging, but she is having a bit of a renaissance as a result of this hilarious Superbowl Snickers ad.

White is best known for her roles on "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" and "The Golden Girls," and her appearances on "Password" and other game shows. But she has also starred in a show of her own on 3 different occasions and done recurring roles, cameos, and voiceovers on numerous sitcoms and films. She has now been honored for her lifetime achievements by the American Comedy Awards, the Television Critics Association Awards, and the Screen Actors Guild Awards - in addition to dozens of other awards. But with her lifelong advocacy for pets and zoo animals, she is probably more proud of her Humane Award from the American Veterinary Medical Association than her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Shortly after the Superbowl ad appeared, nearly half a million fans (myself included) mobilized on Facebook and Betty White will now be hosting NBC's "Saturday Night Live" on May 8th. She will appear on a future episode of the ABC sitcom "The Middle" and has also been tapped to appear in the pilot of a new TV Land sitcom called "Hot in Cleveland." She will be playing Sandra Bullock's grandmother on the forthcoming film "The Proposal." And - mark your calendars - she will be interviewed on CNN's "Larry King Live" this Wednesday.
