Photogenic

This thoughtful beast (1st image) is not the 1st crested black macaque to be featured on Quigley's Cabinet lately. German photographer Karsten Wrobel caught him sitting like this beside a lake at Tangkoko National Park on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi. Wrobel describes, "I was traveling through the park when I saw this macaque sitting close to the shore of a lake. He rested his head on his foot and looked like he was thinking. It reminded me of Rodin's 'The Thinker.'" Actually, I prefer comparing the macaque to French sculptor Auguste Rodin (1840-1917) himself (2nd image).
