Photogenic
This thoughtful beast (1st image) is not the 1st crested black macaque to be featured on Quigley's Cabinet lately. German photographer Karsten Wrobel caught him sitting like this beside a lake at Tangkoko National Park on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi. Wrobel describes, "I was traveling through the park when I saw this macaque sitting close to the shore of a lake. He rested his head on his foot and looked like he was thinking. It reminded me of Rodin's 'The Thinker.'" Actually, I prefer comparing the macaque to French sculptor Auguste Rodin (1840-1917) himself (2nd image).
Karsten Wrobel has been all over the world, and calls his photographs travelscapes. He offers fine art prints online, and takes spectacular landscapes like this, also photographed in Indonesia.
