Fossils!
For my birthday, my sister and family (pictured on a recent vacation in Hawaii) sent me - among other treats and treasures - 3 new fossils. One is a golden-colored sand dollar that looks like a piece of ceramic pottery. Another is a 3" obelisk of amber riddled with gnats that I have yet to examine under the loupe. And the 3rd is this addition to my collection of petrified wood, a very substantial stick with branches off it, unlike anything I've seen before. Great gifts!
Ooooo... What wonderful gifts from a most wonderful sister! ^-^
