Follow-up

Before her age could be authenticated - although she produced a passport and identity showing her birthdate to be March 27, 1879 - Sakhan Dosova of Khazakstan has died. When her age of 130 came to light in a recent census, authorities offered her a new apartment to improve her overcrowded and impoverished living conditions. Unfortunately, she slipped on the bathroom floor last month. The fall broke her hip and she did not recover.
