Being a visual and verbal chronologue of my peculiar life, foremost my research interests—death and the anatomical body—and travels and people I've met in pursuit of same; my collecting interests—fossils, postmortem photographs, weird news, and new acquisitions to my “museum”; and (reluctantly) my health, having been diagnosed with MS in 1990. National Museum of Health and Medicine
I've made several references to the National Museum of Health and Medicine (a.k.a. the Army Medical Museum at Walter Reed) on this blog. Last time I was there was in October 2007 with my friend Chris Sweeters. Chris and I are pictured here with her husband, my much-missed morbid friend, Jim--James Cheyney Miller (1949-2005). When we were at the NMHM, a reporter from the local Fox News station was there to get his Halloween story about the "Museum of Death." He snagged me for a soundbite and I don't think I came off too badly.
