Fortean Times review

A review of Desperate Passage: The Donner Party's Perilous Journey West that I wrote appears in the current issue of Fortean Times. Coincidentally, I have a cabinet card of the 19th c. Tocci Twins--depicted on this issue's cover--in my collection and I have held in my own hands a drawing of a horse that they drew. The drawing was in the files of the Mütter Museum, where I was researching Conjoined Twins.

In other news, one of my followers Antler told me, after seeing my Jeremy Bentham post, that she bought a house from his great-great-nephew John Bentham! She calls it Bentham's Forge because it was once a blacksmith's shop.
